Social Security card name change...? - social security name change application
I got married recently and am changing my name on my social security card. I closed the application and the marriage certificate forwarded to it. However, they want something with my old name and a photo to prove my identity. It is, however, a photocopy or a certified copy of anything. The only thing I have is a driver's license and maybe a card from a student. How can such a thing, if I can make copies? And what work student ID?

Just go to the office. then you will not have to do something notarized or otherwise.

Honey, if you can straight down to the local office you have, you do not need an application or whatever they are doing everything for you and take about 15 minutes.
Have you tried to go the local social security? No need to keep something when you go to the office. It only takes a few minutes and you're on your way. Go to the new social security card is about 2 weeks
There's the old SS card.
