Monopolies Commission would be useful but not necessary. You can prepare another object to remain constant.
With regard to the configuration, there are a few things to try.
First, take, usually take a photo with the car all that the camera can understand my point of view. Cameras, like everything so gray push Dodge. Then take the configuration of this and put the camera in manual mode. Case of two points and begin to restore the dark sky.
Play at high speed and then try to fireworks in some bands give an impression of movement. You do not want a frozen screen or small colored dots instead of explosions of great prosperity.
I have some photos of fireworks, a week ago and I ran 1/20-1/60 sec and an aperture as large as the lens would give me. These are some great pictures if you do not cough.
The second poster was good advice, I just wanted to add a monopod helps a lot when it comes to that. To get a picture of good will, the shutter speed that is, they must be so quiet as possible to reduce it. No image stabilization depends on them for you!
And because you tried to do a lot of noise ISO100 picture. It is important to test and try to make it right. It has survived a tough guy image.
